What a lovely house, the little extras make a big difference.  Hoping to do marathon again next year so hopefully be back and will be after this lovely house again.  Thank you so much.

Very enjoyable and relaxing” A delightful location, nicely supported by an introduction from Stuart. The Townhouse is an ideal base from which to explore York. Most things are within walking distance: as an example by turning right out of the house you pass the first of all National Trust properties (The Treasurer's House) and, at the same time, you can observe the east end of the Minster and move on to the busy shopping centre of Stonegate. Parking is nearby in Monkgate car park - off St John's Street (the parking app was easy to use). The house has plenty of loos, and the kitchen/diner was more than ample for our party. A tea-towel or two might have helped (we usually bring our own). Our bed was comfortable: the house was a haven in the midst of a busy town and we would love to be able to return sometime.

Excellent - kids wanted to stay longer!!” We stayed for 3 nights - everything about the Townhouse was exceptional. Stuart (our local contact) was extremely accommodating and helped us out with local activities. The Townhouse was spacious, allowing everyone to have their own area ... and when the kids went to sleep upstairs, the adults had a quiet space (lounge) to relax in the evening. Plus, everything in York was an easy walk from the Townhouse. We're ready for another stay!

Short break with family from UK and New Zealand. ” Fab location and house. Self catering so no staff service, although the owner met us very promptly when we texted to say we had arrived. The house was perfect for our needs and I would definitely both recommend and book again.

A lovely Long Weekend. The Townhouse is a spacious, character property less than five minutes walk from York Minster and so very convenient for all that York has to offer. The house is warm and comfortable, well equipped and in a quiet residential street. The house is on four levels and our 3 year old twin grand-daughters needed supervision on the steep stairs but the provision of two stair gates helped keep them safe. We have now stayed at the townhouse on three occasions and are already looking forward to our next stay.

Excellent, Central to everything.  It was an excellent property, well looked after and central to York so it was very convenient. Upon arriving they were welcoming and provided all the information we needed! I would definately recommend this property, and should we visit York again we will be staying here again.

Gorgeous house in a perfect location.  We had a great stay at the Townhouse for my friends hen weekend. The house was lovely and very clean. It was located VERY centrally so we were in walking distance to all bars,restaurants and sights. The kitchen diner was amazing!! Sofa bed very comfy and all bedding provided. Couldn't fault it and hoping to go back again some time

                         

Location, Location, Location!

Wonderful house with all you need in a great location. Quiet street and high standard of accommodation. Only comment other than that would be - love to stay again!

                              

We are now home from our fabulous three day break staying in your lovely townhouse in York. All of us had a fantastic time, didn't want to leave to be honest!! I would like to congratulate you on the amount of effort / thought that has been put into offering the little extras that made so much difference to our stay. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, DVDs books and even board games!! Good quality towels, bed linen and toiletries, all of which sets your standards higher than what else is on offer in York holiday lets.

                              

We had a great time and were very impressed with the accommodation and it's location. We would like to compliment you on the overall quality of the furniture, bedding, towels, kitchen and bathrooms/toilets, all very modern and homely.

Even with 7 of us in the house it was still very spacious.

I am pleased to say we had a wonderful weekend in York and the accommodation you provided was just superb. 

17, Ogleforth is a lovely old house refurbished to a very high standard to create a light, airy, welcoming atmosphere. All the fixtures and fittings are of a really high standard and extremely comfortable - one of our party found it difficult to drag themselves out to visit York itself!!!!
 The position of the house is excellent with easy access to all the attractions, pubs, restaurants etc yet in a quiet street so near to the Minster.
 I would certainly recommend your property to anyone looking to stay in York (in fact I already have!) and plan to use it again myself in the near future.
                               

The holiday was fabulous and the Townhouse was beautiful. It has the most perfect location in the town (if not a bit too close to all those irresistible shops). On a serious note we were all extremely pleased and have already been recommending you to friends and family!!

We enjoyed the days in the Townhouse very much.  It is a wonderful place and I regret that I did not have the possibility to stay one or two days longer.  The facilities are perfect and we missed nothing at all.

A little limitation was the slickness of the kitchen floor that forced us to walk very carefully to prevent slipping.  I suppose the cleaner used an inappropriate cleanser.

Townhouse Note:

We want to ensure all our guests are happy.  In this case the cleaner went back to rewash the floor so that is wasn't so slippery.  Regards Warren.

 fabulous location, we had a wonderful time shopping and eating and having fun.  Lovely house, warm and comfortable, perfect for our girls weekend.  We may be back - Thank you very much for the little luxuries.  We would definitely recommend Mad Alice's Bloody Tour of York, The Ambiente Tapas, Betty's Tea Rooms and a walk around the walls and lots of shopping!!!’’

                           

We had a fantastic time in York! The Townhouse was amazing and had everything we needed. It was immaculate, very clean, and we were all very impressed. We just wish we could have stayed for longer. We have been telling everyone about the Townhouse, family and friends, even the minibus driver who collected us on Sunday asked for the details.
